The Senior Manager - Asurion Stores Accounting will fill a key role within the Finance organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting for more than one hundred corporate owned stores and for the Franchisor. The Senior Manager will supervise assigned staff within the department who are responsible for key aspects of month-end close and reporting processes. The role will be heavily involved in the areas of internal management reporting, ensuring all aspects of the financials are complete, ensuring readiness for new programs, and product reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

For ubreakifix by Asurion Corporate Stores line of business, lead the financial reporting across all locations and products

Oversee the complex rollup of corporate stores domestic and international financial statements

Lead key areas of the traditional controllership function, including reviewing and ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting

Team leadership - Supervise several employees within the department, including overseas employees. Manage the performance of others, including coaching, delegating, prioritizing work, mobilizing others to accomplish team goals and get things done. Bring in external information to the team to educate others, drive innovation and influence outcomes.

Leverage relationships for the benefit of the team-utilize knowledge and insights; maintain excellent rapport with colleagues and ensure team members provide a high level of customer service for all stakeholders

Manage program settlements accurately applying funds to correct entities and programs

Responsible for correctly accounting for program settlements across the balance sheet

Ensure the team is appropriately reconciling and documenting balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis limiting errors and focusing on strong controls.

Help others elevate their perspective to better understand the "why" behind the requirement, process or reporting and to integrate or improve processes/reporting to more effectively serve our customers and their underlying needs.

Effectively lead teams to accomplish significant results and implement strategic change initiatives.

Utilize technical expertise, finance/accounting knowledge and business acumen to solve difficult problems; helps others solve problems in a creative/innovative way.

Develop broad and senior level relationships within and external to Asurion.

Lead accounting and reporting processes from end-to-end

Take responsibility for leading large projects within or across functions with high visibility

Foster an inclusive environment where team members are empowered to do their best work, bring forward ideas, engage and support one another.

Identify root cause of problems, proactively develop solutions, align stakeholders, and drive long term results.

Education & Experience

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree

Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting

CPA Certification or MBA is preferred

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and OneStream is a plus
