Position Type: Student Support Services/SPED Teacher Date Posted: 4/26/2024 Location: Sumrall High School Date Available: 07/17/2024 Closing Date: 05/03/2024 Job Title: Teacher - Special Education (Inclusion) Reports To: Principal or Director of Special Education Receives Guidance From: Principal, Assistant Principal, Lead Teacher, Local School Chair, and/or Director/Assistant Director of Special Education Overtime Status: Compliant with position, salary, and FLSA regulations Job Purpose: The purpose of the Teacher-Special Education is to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women; Develop and implement the student's IEP through direct instruction and coordination of activities/work with the teachers at the local school. Qualifications: Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Education Certification: Hold an appropriate Mississippi Educator License or valid emergency certification issued by the state of Mississippi Educational Board.
